You can adjust the junk e-mail filter so that it classifies more or fewer messages as “junk.”
IMPORTANT: Junk e-mail protection is available in Outlook for Mac 2011 for all supported e-mail accounts except Exchange.
- On the Tools menu, click Junk E-mail Protection.
- Choose the level of junk e-mail protection that you want.
NOTE: Unless the level of junk e-mail protection is set to None, legitimate messages might be classified as “junk” and put in the Junk E-mail folder. Check the Junk E-mail folder regularly to make sure that it doesn’t contain any legitimate messages.
- Do any of the following:
- Add important message senders to your Outlook contacts. When a contact is saved in Outlook, Outlook does not classify messages from that contact as junk.
- Use the Mailing List Manager to manage messages from a mailing list. Messages that are handled by a mailing list rule will not be classified as junk.
