Send Later Office 365 Outlook for Mac

How to delay sending and email in Office 365 Outlook for Mac.

Microsoft has released a new feature for Office 365 Outlook for Mac in June 2017. This new feature allows the user to schedule when he or she wants the email to be sent.

In this post I will show an example of how this can be done on Outlook for Mac ver. 15.37 (170815) .

To get started create a new email message, before clicking on the Send button click on the black arrow pointing down.

Click on Send Later.

Once you have clicked on the Send Later button, another smaller menu will open where you can specify the date and time when the email should be sent out.

Once you click on Send in the scheduler your email will be scheduled and moved to the Drafts folder.

To cancel a scheduled email message, go to the drafts folder and click on “Cancel Send“. This will cancel the configured schedule for this email message.

System requirements

To use Send Later you need to have an Office 365 subscription with an Exchange-based account. An Exchange-based account could be Exchange 2016 CU5 and later, Office 365, or a migrated Outlook.com account. You’ll find Send Later in update 15.35.170509 and later.
