From the Mange Team windows you will have a list of all available Teams in your tenant.
To archive a Team, click on the (…) next to the team you would like to archive.
In the below example, the “Christmas party 2018” team will be archived.
Once you have clicked on Archive team, you will get a prompt to ask if you want to “Make the SharePoint site -read-only for team members”. Tick the box and click “Archive”
Once the archive process is done, you will be able to view all the archived teams in the “Manage Teams” screen at the bottom.
To Restore an archived team, click on options (…) next to the archived team. Then select restore team.
Once the team has been restored it will be listed again under the Active teams section.
